For BlackBerry Users

Hard Reset ;
1.  Remove battery and sim from phone.
2.  Put the battery back in and switch on.
3.  Try and make a call or data connection – won’t let you do it but that’s ok.
4.  Put the battery and sim card back in.
5.  Then try the manual roam.

Manual Roam;
1.  Go to manage connections – connectivity.
2.  You looking for mobile network options.
3.  Select manual.
4.  Select any other network apart from Vodafone.
5.  Again try and make a call or data connection – won’t let you but that’s ok.
6.  Go back and select Automatic or Vodafone.

For iPhone Users

Manual Roam and Soft reset – For iPhones

Settings > Carrier > Select network

 

Most issues with network are cleared with a SOFT reset:

Hold menu button and hold button down together for 11 seconds, let go when apple logo appears.

 

*#105# shows last network update times:

CS (Circuit Switched) – GSM (calls and texts)

PS (Packet Switched) – GPRS/3G (Data)

 

For Nokia Users

 

Hard Reset ;
1.  Remove battery and sim from phone.
2.  Put the battery back in and switch on.
3.  Try and make a call or data connection – won’t let you do it but that’s ok.
4.  Put the battery and sim card back in.
5.  Then try the manual roam.

Manual Roam;

  1.  From the menu select settings
  2.  Select Phone
  3.  Select operator selection
  4.  Select MANUAL
  5.  Select any other network apart from the Vodafone
  6.  Try and make a call – it wont let you but that’s ok
  7.  Go back to operator selection and select AUTOMATIC

 

This may need to be several times in order to push the connection back to the phone. 

Once you have done this type in *#105# if the phone has updated with the Vodafone network you will see the time and date.
